Portraits are always a particular challenge but keeping at it makes it a very rewarding journey, each little step seemingly slow is a real victory forever inscribed in our personal artistic experience. However you cut it, the only way to get better at portraits is_ simple never ending practice. And you are getting better.

The facial proportions are great, however the shading on the right cheek is too much, I do not believe it would be dark in such a large area from the hair, but after painting the hair it might tone it out a bit and be less noticeable. The eyes and eyebrows are beautifully painted though, great job. I love the texture you have in your work.
