Thank you so much, this painting required some fancy brushwork to get the effects I was after. John Singer Sargent was my source of inspiration to do this, he was one of the most extraordinary masters of the american impressionist movement or school. When I talk of bravura I'm talking of this kind of brushwork sculpting the impasto as if it was practically thick butter and in other places the paint is so thin you can see the thread lattice of the canvas. So even with a simple subject the variations in the painting are infinite, our brains just love that_ Unity in variety and variety in unity.
