Here is the watercolour of "Skippy" with the suggested improvements from comments. I added more higlight to the eyes and expanded the lighter blaze area on the chest further to the left. I also added more purple to the shadowed areas of the background to contrast the yellow of the fur

Definitely an improvement to the other one! I really like it because the dog looks so natural.
