Beautiful oil painting, I wish I knew more about oil painting to critique it, but honestly im terrified of oil painting. I love the composition. The dark neutral colors in contrast with the yellow rose was a very wise choice. I also think the not very busy background was a good choice to, because the focus should be his face, to the rose, and right where his sleeve catches the light. Very nice!

The focal point on this is so bright. Brilliant job. The old man is very well done.
