Mascha

Description:

This is inspired by Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull", my most favourite play by him. I always loved Masha ("Mascha" as in the title is the German version of the name - I'm German, obviously) just for the first words we read from her: "I dress in black to match my life. I am unhappy." To me she is the most interesting minor character in all of fiction. This is a collage of a drawn figure and a photograph.
