This is a painting I made from a picture of my mom when she wasn't much older than me. I really liked that picture because is was a bit blurry and I tried to translate that to my painting. I used acrylic paint.

This piece is hard to critique because of the blurry nature of the piece. I very much enjoy the movement found in the brushstrokes and how that keeps the painting alive in a way. The shape of the face around the eyes (just the outer edges) looks a little odd, but that might well be in virtue of the blurriness. Very fine work.
