Definitely not bad! I love the work you did around the portrait itself. The one thing I would work on here is perfecting the portrait. I'm not sure what really bugs me the most but I believe it's the hair and the eyes. In the hair I can actually see your stroke marks with the pencil. While this could just be your style, with how smooth the rest of the drawing is, I doubt that. And the eyes could use a little more shading. But again, I love the outside stuff and the use of just a HINT of color to draw attention to the center is very well done.
