This is a very fantastical piece with the contrast, the soft brush strokes and textures also the relationship of the bird and the figure. The only thing is the background texture is competing for attention with the face and the bird. If you wanted to keep the texture, all you would need to do is fade the texture around the face so that the face/figure can be the focal point. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this work.
