The Call

Description:

The Call, Oil on Canvas, 60x50cm, https://www.schaap-art.nl/product/the-call/ In a pale and silent world, a strange creature floats above the earth like a half-remembered dream. Its delicate pathways and shimmering bubbles carry whispers through the air. Below, tiny beings wander through the quiet grass, listening. No one knows where the whispers begin. They drift like fragments of forgotten dreams, echoes of places never seen but somehow familiar. One small figure pauses and looks up. For a moment, the world seems to breathe. The floating creature trembles, as if hearing a call from somewhere beyond the stars. The little one raises its hands. A gentle silence answers. Something passes between them, not words, but a distant memory, soft and mysterious, like recognizing someone from a dream. Then the wind moves again, and the moment fades. But somewhere, across an impossible distance, something is still listening.
