I recently finished the "Escape from Furnace" series and it's my new favorite thing! The story is set in an alternate universe UK, late 2000s. After a summer terrrorized by juvenile gang violence, a new private penitentiary called Furnace is created specifically for minors. Our main character Alex is a petty criminal known for B&Es. However, one break-in goes horribly wrong and Alex is framed for murder. Sentenced to life at Furnace, Alex soon discovers the horrors of the prison run deeper than anyone could imagine. I had to make a piece featuring one of the main antagonists, the Warden. Along with his army of Black Suits and skinless dogs, he makes for a genuinely terrifying villain.
