If you like Vallejo you would have a wide choice of references. My tastes are a little more fine arts rather than commercial illustrations but my tastes are not important here_ yours are. Whatever inspires you is okey by me. Just to give you an example of an academic great master that is working mainly in graphite, tiny drawings that he turns into great masterpieces_ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FGRPwekz2w. I would have more to suggest if you're interested... By the way, I love mythological kinds of subjects too.

Thankyou, i will be sure to have a look, as i love all Fantasy art and have a lot of favourite Fantasy Illustrators, Vallejo stands out to me because of the way he draws the Human figure, this is not to say i just admire Fantasy art, there is a lot of fine art that i admire.
