THE MONSTER OF PIEDRAS BLANCAS -( Charcoal & Mars black acrylic hybrid.) Piedras Blancas is a real place along the California coast, but most of the scenes of this 1959 movie which I based this art on were shot in another location. Piedras Blacas means "white rocks" in Spanish and the name refers to shoreline rocks that were covered in the dried fecal matter of sea birds.
