Description:
Charcoal, digitally colored, of wrestler Reina Arania (Spider Queen) This was done some years ago in black and white and I thought it looked a little dull, so I gave it a digital sienna layer digitally. It's better now.

please do not smear. smearing is an artist's enemy.

The only enemy an artist has is his or her limitations. You must get to your finished product any way you can. I do a lot of "smearing" with my fingertips to get blendings in charcoal and graphite...THIS particular piece doesn't have a lot of what you call smearing. ...Nowhere as much as some of my other stuff. I've been in the business of being a professional illustrator for a long long time and I use anything I can do make editors and art directors happy. Critics I ignore, because I don't seek the aprobation of monkeys. :)
