Tapejara Sunrise
Description:
An oil-painting I've been working on for a couple of months of this flying reptile gazing from a cliff att sunrise. I have little-to-no experience in pterosaur anatomy and illustrating them so theres bound to be some flaws. Done on a 60x50 cm canvas. And also, I call jinx on the drink with the same name as the title.

The only real issue is the size of the head which could be impractical for flight both in terms of balance and maintaining lift, but otherwise, this is an excellent piece, really loving the use of colours and form.

The crest was most likely made up of thin layers of skin and sift tissue and its scientifically accepted that Tapejarids had them. Thank you! :)
