At first sight it looks like a rough sketch, but then I noticed all the details in it. For example the well placed lines in the lips or the shadowing in the hole for the nose. I love the well placed shadows in this picture. At first they as well seem rough, but then I saw all the different tones of shading, that were used. I had awhile to understand the topic or the subject of this Image. The topic makes the image really hard or rough, even brutal. The technique of drawing makes it even more intense. You can say the chosen technique makes the drawing more interesting. I think it's amazing! But I can't understand what's that thing that pierces the person through the skull and the right eye. Its curve irritates me in thinking it is a knife.
