Haiko the Mountain Bongo Antelope
Description:
This is the 5th fake taxidermy mount I’ve made and this one was actually also used in a long-duration project for my new media class. His name means “extinct” in Swahili which is the language spoken where the concentration of Mountain Bongos are. There’s only around 140 left in the wild so they’re pretty much hanging by a thread on becoming extinct. Head on over to my blog http://haikothebongo.tumblr.com/ to see my creation process and also things hidden within him. Haiko is made with cardstock, aluminum foil, masking tape, paperclay, glass taxidermy eyes, wooden plaque, and acrylic paint. Dimensions: 14″ D x 14″ L x 19″ H

I want to eat that thing. It looks like cake.

Please do not eat him. Plus I do not think that paper, aluminum, tape, and acrylic paper would taste any good.

That's a neat concept. The horns are great.
