Snowmane's Grave

My entry for the Never Seen Before Tolkien themed Contest from deviantArt. I chose for Théoden's faithfull war horse's, Snowmane, burial mound, which is mentioned in The Return of the King. I've never drawn a piece like this before and I don't really know what to think about it except for seeing it as a very interesting and challenging exercise. Anyway, this was a lot of fun to do. Unfortunately I don't know what this passage is in English, so I'll quote the scene in German instead: ... für Schneemähne aber gruben sie ein Grab und stellten einen Stein auf, mit Inschriften in den Sprachen Gondors und der Mark: Schneemähne, Diener in größter Bedrängnis, Schnellen Hufs, seines Herrn Verhängnis. Grün und hoch wuchs das Gras auf Schneemähnes Hügel. I know, the book says the words on the tombstone are written in two languages but I have only this one font. In case you can't read the words, they say: Faithful servant yet master's bane Lightfoot's foal, swift Snowmane. Drawn almost exactly a year ago - at the end of March 2015. I didn't win a flowerpot with this, but it was good practise and indeed very challenging.
