Milton the Whitetail Deer
Description:
THE original that started it all. Milton was the very first of my faux taxidermy mounts. It started with a Google search because I wanted to make a fake deer head. I found a tutorial that involved printing out templates that were cut and fold and glue like origami. That shit took over 12 hours for me to cut, fold, and figure out how the living hell they were to fit together because I’m a dingus when it comes to tutorials. But really that tutorial was a hot mess of confusion. Anywhos it also showed how to bulk it out from a planar analysis lump of paper into a more deer-like shape and then painting. Which I honestly thought the paint job looked really garbagey. I know his antlers are not equal and his paint is wrong. Like I said, he was the first. Which means he was the beginning of the trial and error. And I’m not going to fix him. He is what he is and shows how far I have come. I’ll make another deer for sure. Probably for my dad’s birthday or father’s day. But Milton is the original and deserves to stay how he is. Card stock, masking tape, newspaper, aluminum foil, paperclay, acrylic paint, wood, and acrylic gloss finish. 15″ H x 12″ W x 9″ D
