I haven`t seen your resource material. But it looks to me like you have just drawn over another picture. But I will give you a complement about those eyes. really nice color and make the picture stand out and have a focus point. Though, you should not have put that shadod couse it takes away some of the previous mentioned effect. Since your eyes gets directed to darker color makes your eyes look into the shadow. So instead you should make her face darker and the background brighter.
