Miyuki (digital base coloring)

Description:

An online artist named Mr_Wife who I've known for the longest of most people I know over the Internet made a free line art base for other artists to color and decorate. So I decided to try using it for my character, Miyuki. I'm not as used to digitally coloring with my finger on the IPad, so it took a while, but it was a portable project that could be worked on in the car ride home at night, a situation that doesn't allow pencil drawing. Digitally coloring also allows precise control over all sorts of colors including purple, which seems to mainly come in only one colored pencil most of the time. I like what I was able to do with the tail and legs, but the hair is something I can only competently articulate in pencil, not digital.
