Ref for an OCT I'm joining on dA. Here's the rest of her info: Personality: Engine is extremely timid towards nearly everything. She'd be afraid of her own shadow if she didn't already trust it not to hurt her. Her fight instinct is nearly nonexistent, and her go-to method of dealing with a threat is to curl up into the tightest of balls and beg for mercy. Forcing her into a dangerous or painful situation can leave her in a crying heap on the floor (not very helpful), although the quickest way to get her attention or obedience is with threats. Because of her upbringing, she hates being dominated in any way, as it scares her, though it's also the only interaction she knows. She doesn't have much of a need to help others, since doing so more often than not gets her in trouble. Or at least she's used to that being the case. She hates herself sometimes for being selfish, but she grew up in an environment where the only people who didn't die were selfish and cowardly, thus she is also these things. She has extreme trouble sleeping, due to all the worries and paranoia she deals with. She hardly ever goes more than thirty minutes without waking up in a cold sweat, expecting something to grab her and drag her into a world of pain. Bio: Engine was born into slavery on her home planet of Promuntary Plus, spending most of her life under the ownership of prince Jacques Vwegener (a Black Steel, which are the dominant species on the planet). Uill are basically the rats of her planet, normally used for experiments or slaves. Without making you read all the excruciating details, she was neglected and tortured by Jacques and other Black Steels throughout her life, especially his dad and his girlfriend Angel. Engine became Angel's personal punching bag for awhile until Angel decided to give her a chance to prove her worth as more than just a pet. Engine succeeded and allowed Angel to train her as it was far better than being a slave. Engine eventually fell into a forced relationship with Angel, where she did voluntarily engage in sexual activities with her (btw 14 years is past adulthood for her race, so no worries). She had agreed to it as an attempt to make amends and learn to trust her now that she wasn't beating her anymore, but after awhile it became too much to bear as it began to serve as a constant reminder of the abuse in her life. Engine eventually forced herself to break ties with both of them and managed to leave the planet. Shortly after, she met her current girlfriend Chriss, who has since been helping her heal and showing her how a good relationship should be. Chriss is the best thing that has ever happened to her, and they live together now.
