Don't be afraid to loose certain edges, it makes a wonderful effect when applied correctly and sparingly. It is suggestive of what you haven't shown and forces the viewer to complete the work in their imagination. The human brain loves that.

This is again a very hard subject you tackled very well and again I would recommend to soften the receding edges specially on the back. You know ladies prefer we soften their skin, make it look like satin. It's not only vanity, it's also the way our eyes work.
