Armed with the T140E2 105mm L/67.3 with a 9 round drum autoloader in an oscillating turret. Project began in 1952, the T54E1 lost interest in 1957, and eventually cancelled in 1958. Possible reason for cancellation: Firing a 105mm gun 9 times in 18 seconds could cause SUBSTANCIAL recoil problems, especially for an oscillating turret. Time took: 5 days.
