Medium : Pen and Ink On Sketch Book Paper Size : 15" x 25" Date: 10/20/15 This is a design I created for a pumpkin carving I did for the Chad Ford Pa. Historical Society Great Pumpkin Carving Event. This design in cooperates A illustration of an upside down bat to represent terror brought on by evil actions. The illustration of the upright dove represent Peace brought on by honorable actions. Just as night has been associated with danger and day being associated with safety. So the bat is illustrated with night time sky as the dove is illustrated with a day time sky. Written By Stephen J. Technically this picture is good....I'm not sure I'm digging the way it's structured. A little to busy around your main images.

The concept and reason behind the piece is definitely conveyed, and the use of small hatching and cross hatching helps convey the abstract notion beautifully. My one and only suggestion would be the dove's face, the beak is just a hair too long, making it look more like a crow. Otherwise it is gorgeous!
