The shapes really help bring out the structure of the horses face. You should have used the same type of technique within the mane to pull it together, but otherwise, this looks great :D

The anatamy in the face and neck is very well executed. All that you really need to work on is the mane and the hair around the mouth, and trust me I know how hard hair can be to draw sometimes.
