Nice idea, I like the original hairs and the jumper is so cute, on the other hand you should put more shades of colour to do for example lighter parts and darker shadows, fix the shows : with a real pair of feet in it it would never work that way, the left one should be closer etc, also that line can't used as orizont, it will just make your drawing flat, use a shadow instead. Did you used paint and mouse? I suggest to pass to graphic tablet and Paint tool. sai (an easier version of photoshop), about the tablet I know it's expensive but if this is what you want to do you really should invest in one.
