This is a symbolic painting. The theme is trust vs. risk, i.e. when you trust in something you are always putting yourself at risk. The dark unicorn in front of the walking path represents your situation. Will you be safe passing it? It looks ominous, mysterious, you don't know it's intentions but if you're going to move forward you have to face it. Trust is obvious--trust is honest and humble and upfront in a situation-- which is why the symbol for trust is the lantern, bright and hopeful. It is hanging around the unicorn's neck. If you "trust" the unicorn, you can take the lantern from it and use it to light your path. Then, of course there is also the risk that getting so close would be dangerous. But risk is never clear, risk doesn't show itself until it's too late. So the symbol for risk is hidden in the picture. Can you find it?
