Description:

Vlad was born and raised with zero expectations except to one day be married off for political advantages. Her father, the Black king had little use for a daughter and often left her to her own devices as he shaped her brother into the next leader. She played her part, wore the dresses and the courtesies all for her brother, but she saw early on she was far better suited leader than he. She begged him to run away with her, away from the hierarchy and enslavement of their noble family, but he couldn't bear to let down their father, so she stayed. At every turn she disappointed her father, turning away suitors, often more violent than not and wielding a sword in defense of their castle. She was everything her father had wanted in an heir and her defiance only proved it, but a woman king was unheard of. He couldn't control her, but she wouldn't leave.
