I think that in little sized draw, the importance is minimized lines, give idea of lights and shadows.....instead, in big sized draw,the possibility of full details can make richer your result!!! I hope my ideas could help you.....carry on and enjoy yourself!!!!!

Your drawing is superb, but I would recommend that you eliminate the lined paper on your next work.
