Nice start, the line work is very nice the background looks rushed though, the proportions of the body look really good. I would be curious where you are taking this piece if it were a painting this is a great start if its going to be a black and white sketch I would suggest trying some pencils of varying hardness and play around with shading look at real references to learn shading. Good subject matter great start keep on it looking good :)
