Great image. I love how it is framed with the head tilting to one side and not entirely in the image. The polarization with greyscale works very effectively on this subject and makes for a powerful image. the flying flecks in the background give the piece energy while the "stains" and splotches adds to the ancient feeling of the subject. the high use of shadow, both on the subject and the background also adds to the feeling of the piece. I like how you have lightened the background in the areas where it brings out the contrast with the deep shadow on the subject and then darkened the background gradually into shadow away from the subject to give depth.
