It's a good work, but a more "subtle" shading would help. As somebody wrote here below, "tone values are a study in itself"...

Shading is technical, most don't know this nowadays, it's not the artists fault since it's not taught anymore. Tone values are a study in itself. I would recommend to start with 3 values at first_ black, middle gray and white, then multiply by 2 up to 6 tone values to train the eye slowly. Then mount to ten, this give the best results.

I simply cannot critique an artists vision as it cannot be done. However, as far as personal preferences, I'm not a fan of the shading. Still, you've done a great job with this. 4 stars!
