It's a very well done to you. But you must try adding shadows to make your portraits more realistic and try to keep the distance between parts of the face the same (e.g the nose and upper lip) and to add some more shading to the facial muscles. This helps to define the different parts of the face. Eg. cheeks. You should also lengthen your strokes for the hair coming from the side of the face and shoulders (even if they go of the page) and practice angles/views of objects such as necklaces or any other object on/part of the body. Don't be afraid to really accent the differences in light and shadow. I'd recommend converting your original photo to black and white before starting. Also, a helpful tip is, if you can't tell what's wrong, turn it upside down. That often can help you see differences. And most of all, don't stop before you're done! That's often my problem; I'll get to a pretty good place and consider it finished, only to look at it later and wish I'd done something more! Keep it up!
