Hi John, Thank you for sharing your opinions, and I agree - I would have done so if I had used a pencil. I used one of those cheap ol' "Bic" pen for this one, so blending/shading was very challenging!!

This looks good but I think it would look better if you used a blending stump or some tissue to blend those pencil lines. Just my opinion though, maybe this is how you want it to look which is fine.

Thank you, everyone. :) I'm surprised that this piece received such positive feedback. To Anonymous, thank you for your critique, and I agree with you. Nose, in particular, may have been better with more careful shading and composition.

This is a very lovely piece. I really enough how you did the eyes. The shading on the nose and the lips seem a bit off. Instead of having it all black on the nose, I think it would have been a little better if there was more middle ground with the shading
