    I suggest not drawing on lined paper. It almost always distracts from a piece. The shading on the beak turned out awesome. To have that same level of shading on the rest of the piece, try layering colour. Blue darkens orange, green darkens red, purple darkens yellow (but it's very finicky). I suggest grabbing a scratch piece of paper and playing around with it. Starting very light with the layers will help add more layers as well, otherwise the wax of the pencil prevents more colour from being applied. You've already done some layering in the piece. I think if you work that technique into the entire piece it'll have more depth.
