Koiifish on Slateboard
Description:
his drawing is something absolute different to what I do normaly. I was looking for some new ways of doing an artwork, so I decided trying to draw on a slate board. It seems to fit perfect because of the connection between the slate and the asian culture. Therefore I drew a Koi-fish due to it's meaning. A very elegant and powerful animal which I eternalized on stone. (This drawing drew a lot of interest, so it was sold a few hours after finishing it for 250$) The material I've used: Drawn on: Slate board - Size 18" x 12" Sketch: Pencil Farber Castell GRIP 2001 H3 Outlines & Details: EDDING Gloss Paint Marker 1-2mm White EDDING Gloss Paint Marker 0.8mm White Shading: Farber Castell Jumbo Grip White - Blurred with water to get a watercolor effect Duration: 4 hours

I think everything blends a bit too much, the fish could be more emphasized here. Nevertheless, it looks nice.
