Crying Child

Description:

My first drawing for the summer and my first real portrait of a child! I try to choose things that will challenge me and for a long time I refused to draw portraits because the faces are SO difficult! But I took a drawing class last quarter and my final was to draw a portrait of myself, but I avoided really drawing eyes with that one. When I realized how nice it turned out I decided it was finally time for me to face my fears and draw portraits where features I'm not comfortable drawing are prominent and this drawing is a result of that.
