    I love ships and the bulk of the pictures I've taken in my life are of ships. As someone who has reviewed tens of thousands of ship photos, I don't find this one too impressive for a couple of reasons. 1. For being a daylight shot, there is not a lot of contrast on your ship. 2. the picture is exceedingly small... had you submitted an 800 x 600 I think a lot more of the port-side detail would have been more evident. 3. When I have traded photos with other ship enthusiasts, they almost always want shots from the front. The pilothouse windows are like the eyes of a person... no one wants to see a photo album full of backs-of-heads! The one aspect that I DO like about this snap is the rays of light filtering in from the top left corner. Shooting into the sun, even slightly, sometimes leads to cool effects like that, but such shots often come at a price... other aesthetic features of the subject are usually drowned out or lost in lens-glare artifacts.     Very nice, although I think you could have focused the camera to the center/front of the boat.

    I love the water, aw man i want to go to the beach! im not an expert on photography but i think this is neat!
