Check, out my Emilia Clarke drawing to show you what I mean. The highlights only work because there are such dark shadows to contrast against.

what I mean is to really go a lot darker in your shadow areas. It looks like you went maybe 2B at most (I'm just guessing), but you could probably go 5 or 6B in those really dark areas to really bring out the values. The highlights only work if there are dark shadows to contrast against. When everything is kind of middle range (not too dark) then things don't "pop" as well. Does that make sense?

I really like this, but I agree with the other person that if you added more contrast, or brought the values out more, it would look even better.

more contrast would be good
