Broken Gods
Description:
So the idea behind this is that these five charmers are the last gods of a destroyed world. Clockwise from top left: Kaera, Goddess of Night and Secrets; Iryo, Goddess of Knowledge; Baot, God of War; Seahn, God of Earth and Deatea, Goddess of Sun. Each world will once meet his end, some via one or two big rocks from the sky, some will be devoured by demons and some boring ones will be just consumed by their own star. Losers. This particular world was destined to be destroyed by a mighty creature, laid to sleep under the earth in ancient times before humanity got itself enough brain capacity to start actually believing in anything. So there it layed, a under the skin of Seahn, giving him a very annoying itch, until it heard it's magic alarm clock and sprung up and went on to destroy the world, because you know... everyone has to follow the schedule. So the humanity was wiped out and all other life followed and the world was left to itself, still and dark. Gods started to die out, mostly because they decided that they can fight the Destroyer and got their asses handed to them. After a while only these poor bastards left. Deatea is very depressed, because on it's world-ending morning stroll the Destroyer decided that it would be fun to smash her face in her own sun. This got her eyes burnt out and now she can only see things lit by her sun, and it's light radius is about half a meter. Oh, and her eyes hurt like hell. Literally. Because the Destroyer was buried under Seahn's skin, it's breakout caused him a great distress. After some time he was able to put together what little of his body he could find and now he wants to find all the missing parts, go to some corner and sit there, putting his body together praying to all his friends that the Destroyer will not interrupt his puzzle-time. You would think that, being the god of war, Baot would die first. Nope, that was a goddess of murder followed by god of vengeance. Baot decided to gather his forces and wait for a good opportunity to strike, like any good general would. Except that it never came. Destroyer wall always the same, never stronger or weaker and so it obliterated everyone who could possibly wage any sort of war, draining Baot of his power. He is still waiting for his golden chance. Maybe he is just delusional. Maybe he has a plan. Things do not go well for Irya. After all the humans died and no one was left who able to know anything but her fellow gods she suffered a major level drop. She tries to keep herself together using all the remaining artifacts from humanity like cities, monuments and two books with pictures, one of which was about Rodrik the Brave Knight who kidnapped princesses from their dragons, robbed old tombs, killed a lot of people and did other heroic stuff. The other book was about Madam Lilian and her love-filled friends (mostly female) who travelled through the world making everyone happy for a reasonable price. Seahn asked to take this book to study it, but only after he finds one specific part of his body. Wonder why? It might seem that with the sun reduced to the little warm ball of hellfire Kaera would be the happiest goddess ever, with all that eternal night thing going on. But there is a reason night and day change places. Kaera learned pretty fast that keeping world in eternal night is very tiresome without a day god to take you shift. And she is also not very thrilled about the fact that there are no secrets left but her own. So she decided to cover her face to keep at least this as a secret. Other gods of course remember her face but think it would be better not to tell her. Her real secret is that she knows where is the sixth god, Hezzak, God of the Dead. He had a crapton of tourists lately and is now trying to somehow manage all that crowd while blissfully ignoring all these silly rumors about end of all life and stuff. Pffft. Like that would ever happen. The gods know that this world will be their grave and Destroyer needs only to look at them to turn them to celestial dust, so they flee to another one, which is young and quite far from its 's end. The problem is that there are humans, who have their own gods who are quite dazzled about this bunch of beggars at their doors claiming to be them. So in the end the five broken gods are constantly shifting between two worlds - a dead one and a confusing one, trying to reclaim as much of their past power as they can while also trying to adapt to this new world, where no one knows them, no one likes them and no one wants to sacrifice their babies.
