Description:
This initially started as an anatomy study but after watching Apocalypto and Atlantis again...well, voila! I wanted to keep the design fairly simple so I can focus more on the muscles and rendering. One layer.

Nice colour composition, good sense of musculature, appealing costume and totem design. This is a pretty damned good piece. All i could say is that if you could add in a little bit of ambient reflection between his legs, staff and the grass, it would help him mesh into the background perfectly.
