Fantastic oil painting! The clouds and moon blend nicely into the sky, and the sand is beautifully colored to give it depth and prevent it from becoming too flat. The texture on the rock sculpture is amazing, making it look ancient and weathered. The folds of the man's cloak are extremely well done, and he's brought to life with the shading and light. For some reason my eyes keep returning to the distant bird and the feeling of desolation it evokes, being the lone spot of black in the wide open sky.
